The most important treasure of any country is its child population and so does the role of every pediatrician. Am proud to be a pediatrician taking care of this treasure of our country with the utmost care. Not only the child survival is important in these modern days but the concept of intact survival has been the core aim. We are still struggling hard to offer equal opportunities and the best nutrition to our underprivileged children. As a President-elect of IAP 2018, I have a cluster of good things in my mind to implement for a better tomorrow. Indicators of health, disease, and mortality in children of our country continue to remain alarmingly poor. Infants, toddlers, and children are more prone to sickness than adults due to a weak immune system. Hence our responsibility is far bigger than others in healthcare in India. The adoption of Right to Health for children will be crucial for obtaining adequate health care for children. IAP is committed for the cause and working hard to make an impact.
